Over the past couple of weeks I’ve been filming for a documentary series called Anatomy of an Athlete on the Olympic Channel. This is for series two and each series has six episodes, each featuring a different athlete being put through their paces, undergoing a series of tests in a lab.
In 2014 I went to Malta to film preparations for the 2014 Rolex Middle Sea Race. Some of my footage from that event two years ago can be seen here. In April this year I was again filming for IMG on behalf of Rolex but this footage was for a piece to be included in the 2016 Rolex China Sea Race documentary.
In the first world war, members of the 12th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters found an abandoned printing press near the front line at Ypres, Belgium by . One of the soldiers had been a printer in peacetime and he salvaged the press and printed a sample page. With Captain F. J. Roberts as the editor, the satirical trench newspaper, the Wipers Times was born.
