I’m just back from a second attempt to climb Toubkal, North Africa’s highest mountain and paraglide from the summit. Last years attempt was scuppered by strong winds at the summit so this year we prepared a streamlined team of six pilots and allowed more time to wait out bad weather. Sadly once again we were unable to fly from the summit due to strong unforecasted winds, but we had many hours of flying in other sites including some lovely coastal soaring and thermalling. Third time lucky?!
