I’m just back from four days in Dubai where I was filming with six members of the All Blacks who were out there with the Dubai Exiles as guests of AIG. I was fascinated to work there as I’d never been before. I was shooting on the beach, on boats, and at the Exiles home ground. It was a crazy place, and the work was very fast paced as was our transport for the week… a Porsche Panamera Executive, into which we loaded all our kit. Surprisingly it doesn’t take the prize for the most impractical car I’ve ever squeezed myself into for a job. A few years ago I had to fit all my camera gear PLUS lighting kit into a brand new Maserati with red leather. We’d asked for a people carrier!
